In years 7 & 8 pupils study PSE through their Life Skills lessons.  They cover issues here such as transition, financial literacy, being a good friend, key skills, careers, emotional literacy, team work, citizenship, working with others, improving their own learning and developing self esteem.  They also have specialist lessons on careers and the schools liaison police officer and the school nurse also work with the pupils.

In Year 9 pupils do 3 modules on bullying; drugs and careers.  They also have lessons with the school nurse, the police liaison officer, the careers teacher and from TEDS (alcohol).  Pupils also have presentations from theatre companies on specific topics.

In Years 10 & 11 pupils have a carousel of activities covering topics such as drugs, sexual health, alcohol abuse, health education, citizenship and careers.  They also have lessons with the school nurse, the police liaison officer, the careers teacher and from TEDS (alcohol). Pupils also have presentations from theatre companies on specific topics.

Year 11 also work on their Learning Pathway Document in their PSE lessons in order to complete their Pupil Progress Files.

The 6th form also has discussion lessons on citizenship and social issues.
