Design Techology

Key Stage 3

Design Technology is delivered in modules:

  • Resistant Materials
  • Textiles
  • Food
  • Graphics
  • Systems and Control

Each module is based on a unit of practical work where pupils design and make a product. This process is recorded in a design project. The project and the practical work, together, give us the assessment on which the pupils' National Curriculum levels are based.

Key Stage 4

We offer:

  • Design Technology: Textiles
  • Design Technology: Food
  • Design Technology: Graphics

Again, these are essentially practical courses and this is reflected in the final exam mark of which 60% is coursework.
